Workswell GigE Modules for FLIR TAU2 Sensors (Compatible with all TAU2 units)
The Workswell GigE module offers a straightforward and user-friendly way to connect FLIR TAU2 thermal cores to your PC. It automatically detects the image stream from the core, simplifying setup. Power and control for the TAU2 core are provided through the GigE module via a 50-pin Hirose interface connector. The module's internal electronics are housed within a protective metal enclosure, ensuring durability.
A significant advantage of the GigE module is its Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, which allows it to be powered directly from the Ethernet cable itself. This eliminates the need for a separate power source and, coupled with its low power consumption, reduces the need for additional cooling solutions. The GigE module is fully compatible with both Gigabit Ethernet protocol and GigE Vision, a standard for high-performance machine vision cameras.
The included Workswell CorePlayer software enhances the user experience by automatically detecting the GigE module, the specific TAU2 core type, and even alerting you to incorrect IP address settings. You can configure the pixel resolution to either 8 or 14 RAW data formats, depending on the core. The software allows you to view temperature values in a variety of color palettes, with an interactive sidebar and measurement tools for detailed analysis. Core parameters such as Gain, NUC, and Factory Reset can also be easily managed. To further support users, a tutorial application, along with Linux and Windows DLL libraries, and C# application code are readily available.
